Leonardo Sarto went over for his first try in a Glasgow jersey Glasgow Warriors continued their preparations for the new campaign in today's match against Harlequins at The Stoop. Warriors went down 22-17 but played their part in an entertaining encounter. Glasgow tries came from Simone Favaro, Leonardo Sarto and Pat MacArthur. Djustice Sears-Duru, Tjiuee Uanivi, Callum Hunter-Hill, Lewis Wynne, Leonardo Sarto and Hagen Schulte all played their first game in Glasgow colours while Alex Dunbar and Richie Vernon returned to action after injury. After the match Gregor Townsend said: "We managed to get 25 players playing against top quality opposition, that was probably one of the strongest teams Harlequins could have put out. "We started well and it was good to see the work which the players have put in during pre-season being transferred into the game. "I was really pleased to see the players fight back at the end and the players worked so hard to get the win. "We had a couple of opportunities close to their try line which we didn't take and in a couple of weeks we'd probably be more disappointed about that, but just now in pre-season the process is going well. "We've got a lot of work to do but I'm happy with the progress we're making."
