December 05, 2020Glasgow Warriors 22 - 23 DragonsGUINNESS PRO14 match played at Scotstoun on Saturday December 5th 2020 | No comments
Johnny Matthews gave Glasgow the chance to win the game at the death Glasgow miserable PRO14 season continues as they went down by a single point to Dragons after a bizarre finale to this evening's match at Scotstoun. Brandon Thomson was unable to score his conversion to secure victory in added time as Dragons tries from Jared Rosser and Brok Harris - coupled with 13 points from the boot of Sam Davies - propelled them to victory. Warriors boss Danny Wilson refused to blame Thomson for the outcome and admits his team's collective shortcomings proved their downfall in the Conference A clash. "We're not going to put anything on Brandon's shoulders," said Wilson, whose loanee lock Lewis Bean will return to Northampton Saints for the upcoming Champions Cup window. "We didn't perform well enough and didn't put enough points on the board. That's the story and that's what we have to focus on. "It's a tough one to swallow. To be honest, though, we didn't play well enough to win that." Rosser and Harris' scores repelled touchdowns from Fotu Lokotui, Sean Kennedy and Johnny Matthews as Dragons secured their third victory of the Guinness PRO14 season.
