Chris Birchall turned out for GHA against Glasgow Hawks on Saturday.
On Friday many observers were left wondering how Glasgow could lose a match where they had so much possession and territorial advantage.

Yet again a Scottish team was left to rue missed penalties while their own indiscipline presented too many chances to a kicker of the calibre of Connacht's Mark McHugh.

In an interesting article, Scotland on Sunday's Norman Mair writes that the Glasgow team weren't as streetwise as Connacht and failed to counter the excellent defence and limited game plan of the Irishmen.

Glasgow's Rory McKay helped Aberdeen GSFP keep up their title challenge with a 37-27 win over Stirling County. Glasgow back-up squad man, Rod Seib, scored his seventh try of the season for the Rubislaw men. Glasgow prop Chris Birchall has been turning out for GHA over the last few weeks but was unable to help them avoid a 19-13 defeat to Glasgow Hawks at Anniesland on Saturday. Glasgow back-up squad member Ricky Munday went over for a try for Hawks.

For the second week running Glasgow prop Lee Harrison has been named in the BBC Wales Scrum V Team of the Week.
