With Saracens relegation to the Championship a number of internationals, including Maitland, are set to leave.
In his previous spell with Glasgow Maitland made 40 appearances and scored ten tries after joining from the Crusaders in 2012.
He left in 2015 to join London Irish before linking up with Saracens.
