Set off at 5.30 this morning and arrived at John O'Groats 7 days and 50 minutes after leaving Land's End.

Now in Inverness

I got into Inverness this afternoon after a crazy couple of days.

The gears went on the bike and I lost quite a bit of time getting repairs. Nearly got arrested going over the Forth Road Bridge. It was closed to cyclists but the detour would have taken hours!

Really enjoying it and feeling full of energy. No injuries other than sunburned ears! Hoping to get another few hours in tonight then head for the finish line first thing in the morning.

Update...

It’s Thursday morning and on schedule, I’ve just passed the halfway point at Kendal.

I’ve covered 250 miles in the last two days despite more punctures! I’m really enjoying the trip and feeling great. Got a bed, a bath and a good feed at my brother’s house last night so I’m raring to go. Heading for the border now... next update soon.

The Journey Begins...

Set off from Lands End early on Sunday morning (a day ahead of schedule) and as of Tuesday afternoon I'm just outside Worcester.

I've covered 200 miles over the first 2 days and am averaging 11 miles an hour however I'm hoping to increase this once i settle into a rhythm.

Having a great time despite 7 punctures (yes, 7!!), a broken mobile and a thunderstorm. I've been camping each night and am a little sore in the mornings but overall I'm feeling great.
