An individual effort from George Horne secured Glasgow's try bonus Glasgow Warriors enjoyed an emphatic URC win over Vodacom Bulls at Scotstoun this evening. An all-action first-half performance set the Warriors up for an impressive 35-21 win over last season's United Rugby Championship finalists the Bulls at Scotstoun. Warriors had the try bonus point secured after 37 minutes and added a fifth try early in the second period. Bulls enjoyed more territory and possession but Warriors defended heroically and were well worth thir win. George Horne led the way for the home side with a 15-point haul courtesy of a try and five conversions and their other points came via tries from Matt Fagerson, Sebastian Cancelliere, Scott Cummings and Josh Mckay. For the Bulls, Kurt-Lee Arendse, Bismarck du Plessis and Janko Swanepoel crossed the whitewash while Chris Smith (2) and Morne Steyn succeeded with conversions. Glasgow Warriors head coach Franco Smith told Premier Sports: "It was a good win. Matching them physically was important, so I'm delighted. "We were clinical and we enjoyed the ball-in-hand approach. Our team culture and the structure that's in place to involve everybody is very good. I'm excited to take the next step in the weeks coming." Matt Fagerson praised Glasgow's quick start. "We came out of the blocks firing," said the No 8 who took the man of the match award. "We knew it was going to be a massive physical battle and I'm so proud of the boys. "The Bulls got to the final last year and it was really tough in the opening minutes, very attritional."
