Former Glasgow Caledonian player Rowen Shepherd is in the running for the Borders job
Two former Glasgow players, Craig Chalmers and Rowen Shepherd have joined the running for a coaching post at Borders.

Tony Gilbert will step down at the end of the season and a number of Scottish coaches have been mentioned as potential replacements.

Chalmers has just completed his contract at Birmingham-based Pertemps Bees while Shephard has been assistant coach with Sale Sharks through the club's climb to the Zurich Premiership.

Other names linked with the post include former Glasgow skipper, Andy Nicol, and the coach of title winning Glasgow Hawks, Peter Wright.
