Hugh pleased with Glasgow result

Hugh thinks his team deserve credit for holding on for win
Hugh Campbell was maybe concerned by the second half performance against Cardiff, but he believes his team deserve credit for holding on to secure a win.

In today's Daily Record, Hugh says "We should not have needed to scramble but the guys deserve credit for the way they got stuck in when it mattered.

"When negative things are happening in Scottish rugby, it's important to stress the positive way we came through this test."

Meanwhile, Glasgow's Backs coach, Sean Lineen was able to give a bit of insight into the players they want to add to the squad next season. Craig Hamilton has signed to join the second row, and Glasgow are also looking for another couple of back row men. They are also looking for a couple of quality outside backs.

Sean also said they aim to sign seven young Scottish players for next season.

No doubt, we will find out who is set to join Glasgow in the fullness of time.

The Glasgow lads played with alot more guts and more drive than we've seen of late. Everyone seemed to be working for each other last night - a real team effort.

I thought the scrambling began when the replacements began to come off the bench. Well done to Hugh, Sean, "Shady" Shade and the players!

I agree. Although sometimes I wish we wouldn't force the game so much. And just play it through the phases and keep possession. Still it wouldn't be Glasgow if it wasn't easy..

Quite a few good performances - we really need to hang onto Scott Barrow - the guy is a class act at 12. Steve Swindall gets better every time he plays - he's obviously put in lots of hard work on his strength and fitness.

Yeah, played for the full 80 min (or was that 90 min ref?)to hold on despite Cardiff being camped in our half for so long in second half.

as long as they look after these young Scottish players--what player welfare policy is in place?
Remember Tom Philip who asks about him now
