Scott's biggest game

Scott Lawson will face the Barbarians
Glasgow hooker Scott Lawson looked ahead to his first start for Scotland and claimed it will be the biggest game he's ever played in.

Scott has been selected to face the Barbarians after another impressive season at Glasgow and he claims working and competing with Scotland hooker Gordon Bulloch has helped his development.

Scott said in today's edition of The Scotsman: "This isn't a cap match, but it's the biggest game I've ever played in so I'm looking forward to it. I've had a good last couple of years, training and learning from Gordy, and now it's my chance. I think we've really pushed each other on, and after the autumn Tests I got my first real start when Gordon was actually available and that I think upped the ante. We both rose to the challenge and with Gordy getting selected for the Lions and then me getting this chance we've lifted the intensity again."

"Working alongside Gordy at the Warriors had been tremendous but hard in terms of getting the opportunities to step up," Scott said in today's Daily Record. "This is now my big chance to put a real marker down for the next few years.

"Gordon has helped me immensely and I'd like to think I've kept him on his toes. By being picked for his second Lions tour, he's created a remarkable benchmark and I have to aspire to what he has achieved."

Come on Scott, don't be so modest..you've got the Scotland position by merit. Take your chance and keep it now! Good luck!
