The Glasgow hooker will make his Scotland debut against the Barbarians at Pittodrie, Aberdeen later this month.
Scott said on the Sporting Life website: "I don't think anyone from Biggar has gone this far in the game.
"I was taken down to mini-rugby there in primary three every Saturday, although I think I was taken just to get me out the house. I didn't think of playing for Scotland then but I took to the game and I was always there.
"I played for the Biggar Colts, then Scotland under-18s, 19s and 21s and then played for the Biggar first team at 16. When we got promoted from the third to the second division I got the chance to go to Melrose for a season and then I moved to Glasgow.
"It's been steps up all the way and hopefully this is the next one."
