Parents Fiona and Robert made the nightmare journey from their holiday base in Bulgaria to Bucharest to see Scott score in a 39-19 win.
But mum Fiona told the Daily Record: "It was well worth it. Before setting off, we had trouble getting insurance and now I know why. There were speed traps all over the place and the outskirts of Bucharest were mayhem.
"The locals completely ignore the lane markings on the road, the potholes were like craters on the moon and we had to keep watching for broken tramlines that just stuck up in the air.
"It was tough going but we wouldn't have missed it for the world."
