Andy's team-mate Dan Parks was instrumental in an excellent first half display that saw Scotland go over for four tries.
The second-half was a different matter as Scotland struggled to recover from two quick tries to the Islanders in what turned out to be a bruising encounter.
There was a blow for Scotland, and possibly Glasgow, when only six minutes into the match No.8 John Beattie was stretchered from the pitch with what looked to be a serious leg injury.
Euan Murray continued where he left off last week, looking solid in the set-piece and matching the Islanders in the big hit department, while Glasgow skipper Alastair Kellock got a run late on in the second half.
Euan's front row partner at Glasgow, Justin Va'a, came on in the second half for the Islanders contributed his share of bruises to Scottish bodies.
