Cardiff Blues team

Cardiff Blues have named their team to take on Glasgow Warriors at Hughenden on Friday (ko 7.30pm).

The Blues have nine players in the Welsh squad for the Six Nations, seven of which are unavailable for selection for Friday nights match. Tom Shanklin and Robert Sidoli are still available to play in the Magners League clash. There are in fact six changes to Cardiff's starting fifteen that defeated Bourgoin last weekend, with Ed Fairhurst and Mosese Luveitasau returning in the Backs alongside Shanklin.

Amongst the Forwards Gareth Williams, Rhys Shellard and Ben White are given starts as Director of Coaching David Young shuffles his pack amid international call-ups. The game against Glasgow will also see the return of Bradley Davies to the bench having recovered from his ankle injury.

Replacements: Scott Roberts, Duane Goodfield, Bradley Davies, Mark Lewis, Wayne Evans, Dai Flannigan, Marc Stcherbina

Shanklin ran amok the last time we played the Blues, we'll need to be at our best to keep him at bay. That said, I think the team spirit at the moment will counteract anything Cardiff can throw at us.

That was possibly our worst tactical performance of the season. Selected Barrow at inside centre then threw miss-passes all game to Muffles at OC, what the team ws thinking I do not know.

So long as we don't suffer to badly from players being rested by the national set-up. I reckon we've got the match of these boys, some dangerous boys in the backs though...
