Michael Collins, formerly of Waikato Chiefs, and Chris O'Young, who is currently with Australian side Western Force in Super 14, are understood to be poised to join the Magners League's form side this week, reports Kevin Ferrie in The Herald.
Collins, 33, has spent the last two seasons with London Irish having previously captained the Chiefs in Super 12. A prop forward who can play on either side of the scrum, he effectively comes in as a replacement for Euan Murray, who is leaving to join Northampton Saints.
Collins' recruitment should help develop what is a very youthful pack, as highlighted by the fact that half of the starting eight in that shock win in Belfast on Friday comprised players aged 22 or younger.
O'Young, a 26-year-old former New South Wales Waratahs scrum-half, will be a replace-ment for Graeme Beveridge, who is joining Bristol.
The win over defending champions Ulster, who still had a chance of retaining their title until suffering that defeat at their Ravenhill stronghold, was the strongest indication yet that the Warriors are developing real momentum.
They face another title-chasing side, the Ospreys, on Friday looking for a sixth win in seven matches, but already their form has strengthened the hand of Sean Lineen, their head coach, as he seeks to attract further quality players to join his still relatively inexperienced squad.
