Rumour mill keeps turning

Sean Lamont looks set to leave Northampton but his destination is still unknown
Northampton and Scotland wing Sean Lamont has been linked with a return to Glasgow Warriors.

A report in the Northampton Chronicle & Echo claims the deal to take Sean from Northampton to Edinburgh has apparently fallen through.

The SRU, keen to bring exiled players back across the border, have now put forward Glasgow as a home for Sean.

Sean has also been linked with a move to big-spenders Toulon (who hasn't?) and with brother Rory also reportedly interesting the Top 14 side.

Sean could face his brother in Premiership action today. Sean is on the bench for Saints and Rory returns to the Sale side at full-back after being out with an ankle injury.

I'd heard it was Edinburgh... or a team in black and red (Toulon???)

They may very well be going to Toulon, but its going to be some competition for places there as Toulon are reported to be signing around 126 players for next season going by the rumours.

We could certainly use him. He could replace Fa'atau. Remember him? Is he still injured? Is he still here?

If he is still around he'll be in no hurry to get back on the field. Mr Lineen must surely be looking at getting rid.
