Good luck to him wherever he goes. Posted by liviwarrior on May 16, 2009 05:14 PM | Reply to this comment What an anti climax last night for the last game of the season. Very average game - result was flatering however we will take the points. Posted by Caroline on May 16, 2009 06:36 PM | Reply to this comment just on the PA, the Firhill PA which is hooked up to the speakers is currently broken and is awaiting renewal, the PA system we used last night was kindly loaned to us by one of the supporters club members and it was the bast we could do. Caroline Posted by Frillage on May 16, 2009 04:30 PM | Reply to this comment Cant see it being Edinburgh as they will be back up to 8 with Rossco and Callum returning in the back row. Hope he picks up a contact somewhere. Best of luck Stevie Posted by Derek on May 16, 2009 04:39 PM | Reply to this comment The reality is players need to be cut from the squad and although its a shame Stevie is going (if he is) but he has hardly featured this season so its hardly surprising. Posted by s153 on May 16, 2009 05:16 PM | Reply to this comment What a shame if it is true. He did some real damage when he was playing and I hope he finds a team that will give him a fair chance. I don't think he got a fair chance with Glasgow, it looked to me like he was not one of Lineen's favourites, you know the players that keep getting picked even when they are not playing well..... Stevie has had a bit of a topsy turvy career playing for Glasgow and is perhaps one of the most talented Glasgow players but also one of the most unfit. When Stevie tries his hardest he can be a great player as was evident in the Scotland A churchill cup games last year and in Glasgow games in previous years. Although he fell down a bit in the pecking order recently as Lineen prefers players who lack natural abilty but have a huge work rate such as Forrester and Eddie, Stevie should have realised this and worked harder and not just continued to coast along. He was once touted as the first black player to play for Scotland but at 26 and being released by Glasgow he can only dream of a Scotland cap now. Whether Stevie uses being released as motivation to work harder and get back to the level he was once at or just continues to not make the effort that is needed remains to be seen. Posted by Fin Diesel on May 19, 2009 02:55 PM | Reply to this comment Shame about Stevie if this is true but I'm sure he won't be the only player on his way out this summer. Just a quick note on the PA in the JH stand, Is there any way we can get the PA system that we had at the begining of the season (speakers on the touchline) back as the Thistle in house PA is too crackly to hear a) music, b) team announcements c) in game updates. Posted by john ellis on June 16, 2009 09:53 PM | Reply to this comment Stevie Swindalls will be better off away from Glasgow because next season I reckon Lineen will be found out and be shown for the mediocre coach that he is.Glasgow need and deserve a coach who can influence a team to win ugly if that is what it takes. Stevie will come good again good luck mate. Add a comment to this articleIf you're replying to an existing comment, please use the 'Reply to this comment' link above the entry.
