Peter hopes for an A-pass

Peter Murchie is hoping he'll make his Scotland A debut tonight
Glasgow centre Peter Murchie is hoping he will get the chance to come off the bench when Scotland ‘A’ meet the Irish Wolfhounds at Netherdale tonight.

Peter has earned his first call-up at this level and is determined to make an impact if coach Nick Scrivener gives him the nod.

Peter’s inclusion comes after his fine displays in Glasgow's wins over Wasps and the Dragons and he believes the Glasgow boys are brimful of confidence for their meeting with the Wolfhounds.

He told the Evening Times: “The back-to back wins over Wasps and the Dragons have given every one of the Glasgow lads a massive lift and we are all playing full of confidence. Hopefully the spin-off from that will mean we will all play a big part in a win for Scotland ‘A’ tonight.

“Being called into Scotland ‘A’ is the first step on the international ladder for any player and it is just a massive opportunity.

“It is great to be involved and fingers crossed I get some game time. To be involved with so many other Warriors is a reflection on how well we have been playing of late and it is great that the lads’ efforts have been recognised."
