Gregor Townsend expects good things from his new Warriors
Gregor Townsend has brought in a number of new Warriors for the campaign ahead and took time out from pre-season preparations to talk about the latest signings.

Stand-off Hagen Schulte and lock forward Tjiuee Uanivi are the latest arrivals at Scotstoun and Gregor expects good things from them, saying: "Hagen and Tjiuee are really good signings for us. They are players with a lot of potential. Hagen trained with us during the 6 Nations and has a very good attacking game with a good pass and reads situations well.

"We'll be looking to see how much he can develop and how hard he can work.

"With Tjiuee, we've seen him do really well for Namibia during the Rugby World Cup. He played very well against the All Blacks.

"He's very athletic and really good in the line-out. When he gets his hands on the ball he’ll be really dangerous.

"The athleticism he has means he's also a great defender but he'll have to work hard as there's already a lot of competition in the second-row."

Fiji international Nemia Kenatale is also joining up at Scotstoun.

"Nemia has played for a number of years for Fiji as well professional rugby in New Zealand and Romania. He performs the scrum-half position very well, getting to breakdowns quickly with a smart kicking game too," Gregor said.

"Being Fijian he’s got an attacking flair and an offloading side to the game but it's more about his consistent ability to get that ball away from the breakdown.

"He’'ll add to our group as we already have three professional scrum-halves who were involved with us last season in Grayson (Hart), Ali (Price) and Henry (Pyrgos).

"We also have George Horne who is in the Academy and he has been training very well. He knows he’s got some work to do on the passing side of the game but with Mike Blair here to help them develop, we have a great group of scrum-halves."

Gregor is also looking forward to the arrival of Leonardo Sarto and Djustice Sears-Duru after international duty.

"We’'re excited about Leonardo who has played very well in Italy for Zebre and played well against us last season," he said.

"It's great to see Djustice has taken a lot of the hard work that he put in for us last season, on tour with Canada.

"His scrummaging has been excellent. It’s good to see so many of our players playing with confidence including Simone Favaro who has done well with Italy. We can't wait to have them back at Scotstoun working with our coaches."
