He's contracted with the Warriors until the end of May 2014.
Rory joined Hawks in August 2004 from Northampton Saints' Academy. He was called in to play in two of Glasgow's pre-season games and put in impressive performances, leading to a full-time contract and he quickly a first choice pick for the Warriors.
He scored 19 tries in 55 games during his first spell with the Warriors between 2004 and 2007.
After a series of impressive performances for Glasgow, Rory was called into Scotland's international squad and marked his debut with a try against Wales.
Rory moved to Sale Sharks for season 2007-2008 and then joined Toulon in 2009. He scored eight tries in 15 appearances for the Sharks, maintaining the impressive strike rate from his first spell with the Warriors. In 2010/2011, he helped Toulon reach the Top 14 semi-finals and the final of the Amlin Challenge Cup.
Rory was educated at King Edward VII School in Melton Mowbray and then went on to study for a sports science degree at Northampton University. While at university, at the age of 17, Rory was enlisted in Northampton Saints' academy.
After four years in the academy he took a season's rest from rugby because of a shoulder injury as well as concentrating on finishing his degree course. He came north to join Glasgow Hawks, with the intention that playing for Scotland's club champions would bring him to the attention of the Glasgow professional team's coaches.
