Petrie who impressed when he came on as a replacement against France told the Evening Times: "We have got the same squad of players that did so well in the Autumn Internationals and beat Romania, South Africa and Fiji. The talent is there and the opportunity for us to do well is there. It is up to the players to take responsibility to turn things around. We had a fair percentage of possession at the Stade de France, but we didn't get the points on board to match it. We just need to score when we get down the opposition half. Against France, we lost the ball in contact and, whenever they turned it over, they looked like scoring tries. They are one of the best teams in the world and you can't afford to do that."
Petrie added: "The Wales game is make-or-break for our season. We have had two poor results so far and have got everything to prove. We have got a lot of work on if we are going to do anything in that match. Wales showed signs of a recovery against England on Saturday. It is going to be tough for us, but hopefully we will put in a better performance."
Jon seemed unlikely to play in the Six Nations after a thumb injury threatened to rule him out. He laughed: "It's been a bit of a rollercoaster over the last few weeks. To be told my season was over and then told I would be all right in a couple of weeks was difficult to deal with. But it just makes it even nicer to be involved. Despite the result, it is always nice to play in front of 80,000 fans in the Stade de France. It's a shame we didn't do justice to the surroundings."
