"I've worked with Hugh a lot and he would obviously be a good appointment." said Petrie.
Then looking ahead to the match with Borders tonight, and the World Cup he added: "We've got one match left with Glasgow and then it will be a case of training right through the summer and seeing how it goes in terms of the World Cup. Of course it worries me having been in and out but I'm still part of the squad."
