"The manner he speaks to players away from training and matches is very, very good. He manages to gets his message across perfectly. On top of that, having played at the level he has and with his experience of the pro game, I don't think he would have any problems at all moving into coaching. If the SRU are wanting to encourage young coaches to come through, I think they could look at getting Andy involved."
Meanwhile, the Warriors have made a number of changes to their starting XV for the clash with Borders. Barry Irving will make his first start of the season and Moffat">Stuart Moffat returns at full-back. Regulars Glenn Metcalfe, Andy Nicol, Gordon Bulloch, Andy Hall, Calvin Howarth and Andrew Wilson are named among the replacements. Roland Reid returns to the Glasgow back row while Jason White will lead the team in his last appearance for the Warriors. Richie Dixon explained the reasoning behind the changes to the Glasgow team: "We're still treating it as a serious game, but we're taking the opportunity to look at combinations."
