Move to full-back holds no fears for Rory

Rory Kerr had a solid game at full-back for Glasgow on Friday.
Rory Kerr hopes his versatility can help earn him a seat on the plane taking the Scotland squad to the World Cup in Australia.

"After being part of Scotland's dismal display at the Millennium Stadium I was delighted to go back to Glasgow to get game-time," said Rory. "It was even better when I was picked at No.15 because I love playing there and I think things went my way."

"I am really not trying to think about selection for the World Cup because it will be a huge downer for those who don't get the nod. Last week in Wales didn't give me too many chances, however I felt I took whatever came my way and didn't make any mistakes.

"Perhaps the Glasgow appearance showed that I have another string to my bow at full back and hopefully that might sway some opinion in my direction. It might not have been the prettiest of games against Cardiff but the priority was just to get a win.

"I hardly knew some of the team, but new coaches Hugh Campbell and Sean Lineen are so positive."
