Hugh Campbell surprised that Rory missed out

Hugh Campbell is surprised that Rory Kerr was left out of Scotland's World Cup squad.
Glasgow coach Hugh Kerr has expressed surprise that winger Rory Kerr wasn't included in the Scotland squad going to the World Cup in Australia next month.

Rory is now available for Glasgow after missing out on selection for the final squad of 30 going down under. He's been named in the Glasgow team to play Ulster at Ravenhill on Friday where Rory will return to his more familiar position on the wing after an impressive performance at full-back in the Celtic League victory over Cardiff Blues at Hughenden last week.

It was thought that such versatility would secure a place for Rory in the Scotland squad but the coaches have selected Nikki Walker of Borders who has not been involved in the Scotland set-up since the Autumn internationals last season.

Hugh Campbell said: "I have to be delighted that we will have him here but I find the decision strange because Rory has been performing so well."
