Jon Steel was on target for Ayr
A Jon Steel try in the dying seconds of the match secured a 22-13 win for Ayr over Peebles at the Gytes.

The victory gave the Millbrae men a huge boost in their efforts to maintain their place in the BT Premiership. Steel's Glasgow teammate Kenny Sinclair was at scrum-half for the men from Ayrshire.

Glasgow's Rory McKay and Andy Wilson helped Aberdeen GSFP to a 15-8 victory over Stirling County at Bridgehaugh. Mark McMillan and couldn't help Stirling avoid a defeat that sees them drop into potential relegation trouble.

Glasgow Hawks took another big stride towards the BT Premiership title but were made to fight all the way by a brave GHA side before running out 19-14 winners at Braidholm.
