Glasgow's Dan Parks went over for one of his trademark interception tries, made another steal which led to Jacobson's try, and kicked four conversions, while his kicking from hand was generally good. He won't want to look back, though, at the two early penalties that were well within his range.
Andy Henderson did some strong running while Gorodn Bulloch had a busy game although Scotland did mess up a couple of lineouts five metres from the Baa-Baas line. Cammy Mather had his usual robust game making some hard yards and cover tackles.
Although Scotland ran in five tries, they leaked six to the Baa-Baas. In his Sunday Herald column Glasgow skipper Cammy Mather claims Scotland messed up a number of scoring opportunities.
"It was not a good performance against the Barbarians because we got into the green zone, the opposition's 22, and had about five set-pieces and turned over every one of them.
"There was a lack of killer instinct, we should have been out of sight by half-time. We shot ourselves in the foot by missing tackles, turning over ball and letting them run 90 metres to score tries. We were disappointed with both the performance and the result.
"We played well in patches, but if we turn over ball like that against Australia they will crucify us. It was good that we scored tries, but we are leaking them at the other end.
"We are certainly turning a corner of sorts, but as players we have higher expectations than the supporters, so we are very disappointed."
