Kenny is retiring after a glittering career north and south of the border.
He said in the Aberdeen Press and Journal: "It will be my last competitive game, although there will be few testimonial appearances afterwards.
"It will be brilliant to play my final match for the Barbarians against Scotland.
"It's something I'm really looking forward to. I know I'll be involved because I'm not going with the Barbarians to play England at Twickenham.
"They've got a new coach in Frank Hadden and I know from speaking to the boys they are looking forward to getting started. Everyone is interested to see what the new coach does.
"We need a head coach and another full-time coach. I don't think it's realistic to expect the duties to be shared out on a part-time basis.
"I don't know if Frank is going to get the job permanently, but he has a fantastic opportunity to stake a claim.
"I really want to see how it works out before making judgments. The most important thing is the players are happy and enjoying their rugby, that makes an enormous difference to performances.
"There's a smile back on the faces of the players and that's important. I don't think they enjoyed it too much under Matt Williams."
As for the Pittodrie encounter, Kenny won't let sentiment stop him from breaking Scottish hearts and making sure he can bow out of rugby with his head held high.
"We're meeting up on the Sunday before the game. Usually with the Barbarians it is just a day in advance, but this time we'll be much better prepared.
"Scotland have never beaten the Barbarians - so the team will be desperate to put that right. As a Barbarian, I'll be doing my best to make sure that record stays in tact."
