Glasgow face Edinburgh in a pre-season game
Glasgow Warriors are set to play Edinburgh Gunners as part of the build-up to the new Celtic League season.

The Edinburgh Evening News reports that the teams will meet on Monday August 22. I don't have any information on a time and venue, but I gather the game will go ahead in Glasgow - I'll confirm as soon as I can. Glasgow play Rotherham on Saturday 20th August and Edinburgh play Sale on the night before, so it looks likely the match will probably involve second-string XVs and those not involved in the weekend game.

"involve second-string XVs" what? ..you mean we actually have more than 15 players now? ..

don't think this is an unreasonable way of giving the players a run out. Assuming its not played as the 4 x 20mins fixture we had against Exeter last year and on the basis its an "away" game for us there's at least a reasonable chance of attending it.

Haud me back, the glamour of yet another visit by Edinbugger. That'llm bring the crowds back to the game.
