Andy is up for the challenge

Andy Newman will be up for the challenge when he faces his former team-mates
Andy Newman is determined to claim Magners League bragging rights from his former team-mates when Glasgow Warriors take on the Ospreys at the Liberty Stadium tonight.

Andy made the move to Scotland during the summer and he admitted the return to Swansea was marked on the calendar at an early stage.

He said in The Scotsman: "From the moment I arrived in Glasgow, I have been bombarded with text messages from my old colleagues describing in graphic detail how unlucky Friday the 13th will be for me. I was always regarded as a bit of a loudmouth down there, and it is pretty obvious that a few of the lads will be doing their utmost to shut me up!

"I am expecting some rough treatment, but I am definitely up for the challenge. I really believe the Warriors have a great chance of winning. Ospreys have a lot of well-known names - but in recent times they haven't clicked as a team very often."

I really like this guy, he causes damage wherever he can and usualy gets a run down the park with a couple of defenders hanging off him. Hope he's still in one piece tomorrow!

Good luck Andy!!

I agree he may not have the glamourous 24/7 background of some of the other summer signings but he certainly knows how to graft. A win in Swansea would be just reward for his effort. Here's hoping.
