Moray has been named in the training squad for the Club International against Ireland
A 41-strong training squad is being announced today ahead of the first appearance on home soil of the Scotland Club international side, which includes Warrior apprentice, Moray Low and Max Evans, brother of Warrior winger Thom.

Following the inaugural match in Dublin last year, the Scots will face their Irish counterparts in the Edinburgh area on the evening of Friday 9 March, and will be eager to record a first victory.

Rankin said: "The selection process is not yet complete and there remains opportunities for players outwith this squad to force their way into contention."

Selection criteria includes that players must be eligible to play for Scotland and currently playing club rugby in Scotland.

Former full-time professionals who played for more than three years or who were contracted within the last 12 months are ineligible, as are former internationalists at either full or A level.

Pretty fair squad, with decent selections fairly representative of their final league positions. Heriots slightly over represented, but no one can really arque with their selections -maybe they've underperformed in the league. No Mike Adamson - is he not eligible? And Kenny Sinclair in - interesting, since he is an ex-pro.
Since word filtered through that the Irish had a sneeky warm up game last year what about the same for us. Either a Champions (Currie) v Club Select match as a trial or a game against a scratch club team consisting of ex-pro's, non-eligible foreigners & promising apprentices...along these lines perhaps?
R Seib; Cammy Murray, Allan Bulloch, Nick Lavelle, David McCall; Ally Warnock, Murray Bringhurst; Nick Cox, Gordon Bulloch, Andrew Kelly, Scott Lines, Steve Turnbull, Cameron Mather, Andrew Rennick and Roddy Grant!

Interesting to see that Moray has been named for both the national training squad and the club international training squad - it's nice to be popular, isn't it?!!
