A rapid rise through the ranks for Moray Low. Good stuff!

Great to see G-dog in the lineup. He was outstanding in the churchill cup canpeign for the A's, and has suffered a bit with injury this season to really build on that platform. I hope that being back in the mix of top centers in Scotland will give him the much needed boost of confidence to show what the selectors believe he's capable of.
For him to come off injury and, in a matter of days, be back in contention for top positions, certainly shows the confidence that the staff have in him. Hopefully he'll be able to relax, not over-pressure himself, and just play. DiRollo, look out! Let's go, G!

Good to see Andy Hall in there also. Hope there is a big Glasgow support at the game!

McFadyen shouldn't be in the squad, he has been poor all season. I would have had Barclay starting instead of McFadyen and Swindall taking Barclay's place on the bench. Swindall has been very impressive since January.

Are you kidding? Donnie's had barely any opportunity to play this season so how can he have been 'poor'? He's a world class 7 who Scotland need in their world cup squad if he's 100% fit, therefore he needs some game time and with JB the man in possession for the Warriors this is a great chance to get him involved (in fact if the Glasgow back row continue with their present form could we see Donnie going out on a temporary loan down in England?).

A few tests and 'A' team games before the world cup is unlikely to be enough to get some of our talented young players up to the required standard before RWC 2007. It will however be enough time to get an experienced campaigner match-ready and raring to go.

Stevie is very unfortunate not to be involved but there is continuity with the 3 young guys picked (JB, Junior and Strokosch) who have all been involved regularly and are a shade ahead in the queue. If only there was as much competition in all positions!

I have to agree with rooster. JB is by far the better 7, Donnie does well when he plays but when is that? He doesnt merit a place in this team just on reputation he needs to prove himself like JB has. Still though this team looks just as good if not better than the first team does it not?

It's a tough tough call on Barclay, but he probably will come on in the match, and we don't want to burn the lad oot. Also, Donnie is a talisman, and if we can get him up to speed it will be magic. I don't understand why Barclay is not playing for Scotland this Saturday anyway. We need a dog in the Scotland back row and we're fortunate enough to have the 2 best in Glasgow. Actually it's great to see so many great players still available for Glasgow through this period - I'm sure there will be loads of them in the RWC squad. We're not like those nice Edinburgh boys, and Frankie will have to realise that sooner or later - maybe after we win the Challenge Cup.... see y'all in Perth (ye ARE goin aren't ye?)

Good to see Gordon Ross back in the country, if not in the first team. He, to my mind, is a far better player than FH's golden boy. That said, Hadden has a habit of producing great results so I'll support his choices. Barclay has dipped out tho, he should be starting....

Oh, why is Thom Evans not in there? Is his injury serious or has he just been omited? He far out classed Danielli when the Borderers visited

According to the Scotland web site Evans & Pinder are injured & staying with the Glasgow medics.

Donnie is a great player ..but I can't even remember the last time I saw him play, so that's a surpise if he is match fit. I do recall the last time I saw Stevie Swindall play when he scored 2 tries and put in a great effort once again. What does he have to do to get a game for his country?

Thom and Sammy are with Glasgow medics but think that they should both be back soon. At least thats what I have heard!!!

Hard of barclay. give donnie a shot, prove he's not up to it then let the guy leave in the off season. could saved the club some cash and get a better non injury prone replacement.

Harsh but realistic jb! I'm sure Donnie feels the same way! I don't like the "injury prone" as if it's his fault. Let's hope he has a good game. GO GLASGOW (I mean SCOTLAND A!)

fair point alan, but with money so tight we can't have these guys like donnie living off reputation sitting on the sidelines either injured or not selected. more so when we have young talent coming thru at a fraction of the price. we could use the money better by retaining these guys services for the future.
