Dan was in top form to lead the Warriors to victory
Man of the match, Dan Parks spoke of his delight at beating Edinburgh and winning the 1872 Cup at Firhill tonight.

"We had to win the game to give ourselves the chance of going up the ladder. First and foremost that was our goal.

"Edinburgh kept coming at us, but we knew that if we kept grinding away we would get the win.

"Playing Edinburgh is a big game and the boys were naturally up for it. It was very pleasing going into the dressing room and seeing Sean Lineen smile."

Those ill-informed, and spineless knockers of Dan Parks might just wonder as to why he plays like a champion, and things generally go well when he's playing with Glasgow. The word "teamwork" comes to mind. Parks pulls the strings, and the team backs him up like a good, professional side should. That's something for the Scottish test coaches to think about.

And he is allowed to play the game he is comfortable with. Uncle Fank wants him to play musch flatter and the floated pass is then always vulnerable to the interception. It was also good to see him taking on the opposition and making the breaks. Captain Marvel or what?

Despite all the knocks, he comes back and does it again, and again. He is a tough nut to be able to cop criticism and stay focused on steering his team to a win. The boys are proud of you Zuff, keep it up!
