Lome still uncertain on where his future lies

Lome Fa'atau has been in try-scoring form
Lome Fa'atau is out of contract this summer and though still to confirm his next move he is still in discussions over a new deal with Glasgow.

The Samoan struggled to settle in his first season with the Warriors but this term a strike rate of seven tries in 15 games, despite spending three months out with a broken leg, sees him second only to Thom Evans.

"If this is my last game I want to finish off on a high, not just for myself but for the boys and to do what I promised to do when I came here," said Lome in the Scotsman. "I'm going back to New Zealand soon, but I'll be back over here – though I don't yet know where 'here' is. I would definitely like to stay at Glasgow, but whether that happens remains to be seen."

I know Lome is not everyones cup of tea but I watched the highlights of the Ospreys game on the web the other night and this guy beat Shane Williams on the outside TWICE, to score his two trys.

Williams never even got a hand on him. I wonder if thats ever happened to the wee nyaff before?

I think he is worth keeping, even if my wife does fancy him.

As an attacking force he has improved but his attempts at defence sometimes beggar belief. His attempts to stop Ulsters first try last time out at Firhill was bordering on embarrassing.

If he is one of the bigger earners which coming from the Super 12 as top try scorer you would assume he is, then I cant see him getting resigned.

This must be a difficult one for Sean. By his own admission he took a long time to settle for whatever the reason. He started to show some form towards the end of last season though. This season he also seems to have been a settling presence in the back three. He's fielded a lot of high balls when Thom and Bernie have been up in attack. Felt we genuinely missed him when he was out injured. The question is whether he's value for money and what kind of money would he be looking for next season. He certainly seems to be a favourite of Lineen (apparently he was back in the side after breaking his leg without even being back at training a full week).

surely it boils down to what are the alternatives? Any Scottish player takes 1 - 2 seasons to get up to the fitness levels demanded of Pro rugby, any decent foreigner will go to France or England.

Given his try scoring performances this season he should be kept for another season.
