Peter Murchie in his first pre-season with Glasgow Warriors in 2009 - a friendly at Doncaster Knights. He went on to make 116 appearances and has now reached his century as a coach
Last night's meeting with Racing 92 saw Peter Murchie become the first man in Glasgow history to reach 100 matches both on the field and in the coaches box.

Glasgow's defence coach joined Warriors as a player in 2009 and went on to make 116 appearances for the side scoring 16 tries in the process.

After retiring as a player Murchie spent two years as Head Coach of Ayr, first heading up their double-winning campaign in 2018/19 before leading the Ayrshire Bulls in the inaugural FOSROC Super6 competition in 2019/20.

He joined up at Scotstoun as an assistant coach in 2021.
