The former Scotland U20 lock made his Glasgow debut early in the season before injury interrupted an impressive run of performances.
With a number of Scotland's current locks reaching the end of their careers, Oguntibeju's emergence strengthens second row resources at Glasgow and at international level
Asked whether Oguntibeju could be a future international, Glasgow head coach Franco Smith told Scotland Rugby News: "Definitely, I hope that everybody that comes through the doors think that they can become internationals. That is the mission.
"Like I said, we're dream-givers, not dream-takers. He (Oguntibeju) definitely has the physical aspects. There's still a lot of his game that's going to improve. That's what we're here for. The fact that Scott Cummings is in the building, and Max Williamson and Alex Samuel have now tasted some of the international environment, Gregor Brown will be coming back, those type of men will help lead these younger boys to become international-like players.
"You get players that can play international rugby and you get international players. There's two different things. If you played once or twice, you're a player that can play international rugby. Somebody that can perform regularly at that level and take that form and performance into a club game, they become international rugby players. There's still a lot of growth for everybody in the building to see if we can get that consistency."
