In the play-off for third place Melrose overcame Jed-Forest to win 40-20 at The Greenyards today. Glasgow and Scotland winger, Jon Steel, was on target for Jed-Forest with a try. Steel has been on great form for Jed as their manager, David Laidlaw said: "Jon Steel has added the finishing power to our play and we are surprised he wasn't called into the Scotland A squad for the game with Italy A."
