Sean Lineen was pleased to get a victory but knows there is still a lot of work to do: "It was hard work and we didn't get much ball so there was no platform for the backs.
"Sam Pinder took his try well and Joe Naufahu took the ball up well when he got the chance so it's a good start although we have a lot to work on but it was good to get a win for the home support."
Man of match Joe Naufahu was happy with the result but stressed that it was early days. "We had a really good pre-season and the boys were working very hard. The coaches are very organised so it's all credit to them.
"There's a good feeling in the camp but we know it's early days and there is a long way to go."
Skipper Cammy Mather sees more hard work ahead for Glasgow: "We're pleased with the result, not too pleased with performance. Our set-piece wasn't the best and when we watch the video on Monday we'll be critical of the lineout and scrum."
