Round-up

Joe Beardshaw in his new colours
I'm afraid there isn't much news on the Glasgow front at the moment, but there are a few things happening with some former players.

Andy Hall made his first appearance for Newport Gwent Dragons last night. He helped the Dragons to a 54-5 victory against a Gwent Premiership XV.

Andy has been signed primarily to play on the blindside flank, but packed down at lock, where he did a sound job while also making his physical presence felt in the loose.

Gordon Bulloch will make his first start for Leeds against his old rivals Edinburgh at Headingley on Saturday. Gordon joined up at Leeds with another two ex-Glasgow men - scrum-half Mark McMillan and back-row man Roland Reid.

Sean Lamont is expected to make his Northampton debut in their pre-season match with Italian side Benetton Treviso at Stadio Comunale di Monigo. There's an article on Sean in Melton Today - although some of the quotes look pretty familiar.

Big Joe Beardshaw had mixed fortunes playing for his new club, Cornish Pirates, in their 50-33 warm-up win at Launceston. Joe went over for a try but suffered a rib injury that makes him doubtful for Saturday's home friendly with Redruth.

Re Andy Hall, could you please elaborate on how exactly he helped the Dragons to defeat?

Possibly...as long as I can get the scores right.
