Bad weather overnight would almost certainly rule out Hughenden and Glasgow have been desperately hunting for an alternative venue. If no other venue in Glasgow or its surrounding areas can be found the Warriors may be forced to switch the game to Murrayfield. With Edinburgh using Murrayfield tonight, and two games in 24 hours unlikely to please the ground staff, Glasgow may be forced to play on Sunday afternoon at the national stadium.
"All this disruption has certainly not helped," said Sean Lineen in The Times. "We had a lot of players away at Scotland training at the start of the week and we have not been able to have a captain's run, so we will not be able to do anything new. But all the players know how important the game is for Glasgow and for Scotland, so they will be mentally ready."
Some eyebrows were raised at the selection of Colin Gregor at outside centre for Glasgow. Colin has played at fly half and full back, and can also cover scrum-half, and turns out in yet another position against Saracens.
"He is a clever, heads-up type of player," said the Glasgow coach. "He played soundly for us at full back and he will bring something different to the centre.
"We know that in this game we are the standard bearers for Scottish rugby, and we have to perform at our best against formidable opposition. Saracens have always had the individuals, they are a real cosmopolitan team with players from all over the world, but under Alan Gaffney, they have acquired the team-work as well and they are all playing for each other. I enjoy watching them play."
