Glasgow Warriors can confirm that following a pitch inspection by referee David Rosich this morning, their match against Saracens in the European Challenge Cup this evening (kick off 7.30pm) will go ahead at Hughenden.

The match official’s decision has been confirmed by ERC.
Glasgow Warriors head coach Sean Lineen said: “We’re glad that we can stay at our home venue for this crucial match. Our thanks go to the Hillhead Sports Club groundstaff for their hard work in getting the pitch ready. We also had our own apprentice players out early this morning assisting the groundstaff in their pitch preparations.”

Bring your wellies though! This is going to be a huge game for our pack - glad we have 5 forwards on the bench.

Fantastic news, huge well done to all those who helped to get the pitch ready. Really looking forward to cheering on the boys tonight and who knows, perhaps the conditions might favour us - we did well against Toulouse in a bog a couple of years ago!

Great - but I thought it was the SRU who were working flat out to get the pitch ready!!! What a shower - after all the hard graft the team has put into the Cup competition to have ended up in Murrayfield on Saturday, which my group would not have been able to make, would have been a disaster. Thanks to all the guys in Glasgow who have made it possible. We just need the same determination from crowd and team to make it a memorable night.

Well, maybe the SRU did send their groundsmen over to Glasgow to help the Hillhead staff, but somehow I very much doubt it! Whoever it was, I hope they have done a good job and that the conditions are in our favour!

I also remember losing to a very handy Leinster a few years back at Landsdowne in a pitch that will be similar to tonights conditions! It will bea tough game and I have been looking forward to it all week!

its good that the game is on! Im taking a group of mates for vocal support and tearing them away from their drink and then the game being off would not have made them to happy!!!

Don't forget there should be a beer tent, so they won't go without drink for too long!

Great news!
Castaignède, the French flair is not in the Sarries's team tonight...
Please, don't get bullied forward, Glasgow plays AT HOME!
COME ON GLASGOW!!!
