It's a trying time to be a Glasgow Warriors supporter, so to lift our spirits, we thought it was about time to think back to Canada.
Anyone watching the final, between Scotland A and NZ Maori, may have been alarmed by the experimental facial hair spotted on some of our very own Warriors. (You'd think we'd be used to it by now, seeing as Stuart Corsar has been known to try out some unusual looks, but it still took us by surprise.) Luckily the 9.30pm kick-off waspost-watershed, so no children will have been upset by what they saw.
You would have thought that Canada would have offered plenty of distractions tot he squad, but they seem to have spent their time growing and then sculpting some alarming beards and moustaches. Not only did G-Dog have new and interesting facial hair, but colleague Rory "Gringo" Lamont was seen with what can only be called a zapatta-style moustache.
However, before panic sets in, we think we can explain this as a tribute to the local ice hockey team, Edmonton Oilers, who traditionally grow beards to take to the NHL playoffs. At least we hope this is the reason, otherwise we might have to call Taylor Feguson in for pre-season grooming!
It looks like we've been pipped to the post for the exclusive Graeme Morrison interview!
Before their victory over the Auld Enemy, TV cameras visited the Scotland A training camp, and interviewed Warriors centre, G-Dog, as well as Rory Lawson and Steve Bates.
The full interview can be viewed here - you may have to sign up, but it is free to use.
Well done again to the boys in Canada - in particular, G-Dog, Manchild, Fergus, Craig, Rory and Colin - and good luck for the remaining games.
Scotland A celebrate their win over England Saxons
Reminiscent of February's Calcutta Cup win over the English, the Scotland A team triumphed over the England Saxons in appalling conditions to secure their first win of the Churchill Cup.
Glasgow Warriors were ably represented by Graeme Morrison, Rory Lamont, Fergus Thomson, Craig Hamilton and Andy Wilson, and despite heavy pressure in the 12 miniutes of injury time, were able to hold on to their led to win the match.
Congratulations to the squad out in Canada and good luck for the remaining tournament.
Well, who'd have thunk it? Seems like new signing Thom Evans could be a bit of a handful (steady on), as this photo shows. Certainly doesn't appear to be shy and retiring.
We had been trawling t'internet to download one of his band's tracks, but all we could come up with was topless photos. Pages and pages of them! Did they ever make any music?
But never fear, Glasgow are more than able to cope with this - did anyone else spot Fergus Thomson on the STV news, with his top off in the Botanic Gardens?
Anyone who manages to find any mp3s of the band's music, please send them on to us at vicki@glasgowwarriors.com - just to prove to us all they have recorded some music!
I had a look for their music ages ago and couldn't find any at all but I do have proof they actually recorded material! There are a couple of singles for sale on E-Bay. However much I want to listen to their music I'm blooming well not paying for it!

Following the Irn-Bru inspired away shirts of the late 90's, it seems the merchandise folk at Murrayfield have again felt the urge to make our alternate kit more colourful.
Whether inspired by the colours of the Lion Rampant, or by the German football team, the new kit is a little out of the ordinary.
Who knows if this new combination will catch the imagination of the rugby public in Scotland - but they are now available for sale if they catch your eye!
